Toasted Almond Cold Brew
When we lived in Boston we were around the corner from so many good coffee shops, but in Charlotte we just aren’t close enough to justify our old Saturday routine of walking to grab a yummy coffee. I love started my weekend days with a hearty breakfast and a really good cup of coffee so I was determined to make something at home to satisfy my craving since we don’t get to treat ourselves as much. This coffee is super simple to make and is the perfect drink when you are craving just a little bit more then your average cup of coffee.
5 tbsp whole coffee beans
1 tsp almond extract
Almond Milk for serving
- Add your coffee beans into a nut milk bag and place into a large mason jar or glass container with 4 cups of water and almond extract.
- Let your beans soak for 24 hours.
- This will be a very concentrated cold brew, to make a cup of coffee do 3/4 cold brew and 1/4 water.
- Serve over ice with a splash of almond milk and get energized for your day!
