Homemade almond milk
I never realized just how easy it was to make your own almond milk, but we made some tonight and it is SO worth it. This is so much better for you than most store bought brands and I promise it is the easiest thing in the world. Check out how to make this milk below:
- 1 cup raw almonds
- 6 cups filtered water
- Cheese cloth or nut milk bag
In an airtight jar add in your almonds and 2 cups of water. Let these soak for 24 hours. Drain this water and add in your fresh 4 cups of water plus the soaked almonds into your blender. Blend on high for 2-5 minutes. Drain your mixture over a cheese cloth or into a nut milk bag over a bowl or measuring cup. Squeeze the excess liquid from the pulp and store your milk in an air tight jar for up to a week.
**To sweeten this add in a tsp of vanilla and a tsp of maple syrup!
