Week 1 - Meal Planning Made Easy

It has been TOO long, I am so sorry. Truth is motivation has been lacking a little as work has gotten busier. I am giving myself a kick in the bum and taking food planning to the next level. My hope here is to provide a way to stay on track this holiday season for myself and all of you. Now some of this just takes will power, but I do find that planning out healthy weeks keeps me totally in line all the way from candy season-holiday pies. As I shared on my instagram, my mindset going into this holiday season (and life..) is to remind myself to eat clean 80% of the time with a 20% buffer. Now, this does not mean I am going to go out and scarf down a full bag of candy or cheeseburgers during the other 20%, but it does give me peace of mind to enjoy those appetizers at a party or have a few cocktails without beating myself up. Remember, a healthy lifestyle does not just revolve around eating. Its also about your mental state and if you are constantly getting down on yourself for what you eat then you will be miserable. So try your best, plan it out and most importantly treat yourself here and there.

Attached is my first weeks meal planning. Some of these meals are not necessarily fancy or attractive, but they are realistic and my goal from the beginning is to provide real food for you all that is affordable and easy to make. Don't worry, all of the recipes will be up on the blog as we make them so you will be able to make everything listed below.
